Honoring Rep. James R. Roebuck
A Champion for Education
More than just financial support, this scholarship represents a legacy of leadership, equity, and community uplift. It is named in honor of Rep. James R. Roebuck, the first African American to chair the House Education Committee in Pennsylvania. Chairman Roebuck dedicated his career to championing education for all students, particularly African American and underrepresented youth.
This $1,500 scholarship (that several applicants receive) helps us invest in future leaders, educators, policymakers, and advocates who will continue the fight for equity across Pennsylvania and beyond.
